Registration Now Open for CADCA’s Mid-Year Training Institute in Las Vegas

Are you ready to make a “Monumental Impact” with CADCA? Registration is now open for CADCA’s 15th annual Mid-Year Training Institute, July 17-21 at The Mirage hotel in Las Vegas.

Whether you are a seasoned Mid-Year veteran or a first-time attendee, the Mid-Year Training Institute offers in-depth, interactive training sessions that will equip you with insights, information, motivation and inspiration to tackle your toughest community challenges. This year’s training is divided into eight thematic tracks: Data Crusaders, Marvel University, Incredible Communication, Guardians of the Galaxy, Policy Power, Sustainability Saves the Day, Drugs: Community Kryptonite, and Heroes in Training.

Adults are not the only attendees who receive world-class training at Mid-Year. The National Youth Leadership Initiative (NYLI) has designed the Heroes in Training track to feature two levels of training courses – Key Essentials and Advanced. A highlight of the youth track is the mock council meeting, which gives students a chance to discuss real issues that are affecting their home towns and equips them with community change strategies they can implement when they return home. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Acting Administrator, Kana Enomoto, will play the role of Mayor at the mock council meeting.

CADCA also offers scholarships for both adults and youth, which cover lodging for four nights and the applicable registration fee. All applications must be submitted online and are due by Noon EST on Friday, April 15. Looking for more ways to save? Register by the early-bird registration deadline of June 3 and save $100.
