Manager, Grant Writing and Proposal Development

Shereen Soliman

Shereen Soliman joined the CADCA Business Development and Membership team in November 2023 as Manager of Grants Writing and Proposal Development. She supports CADCA’s mission by preparing multi-departmental proposals and reports for federal government agencies, foundations, and corporate partners.

Prior to joining CADCA, Shereen was a project manager with the Oregon State University’s Laboratory for the American Conversation, where she secured funding for research projects. Additionally, she coordinated the Political Science and Economics majors and taught International Politics.

Shereen has a BA in Political Science, MEd in Education, and an MA in Human Rights. Shereen worked overseas for more than 20 years, with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes (UNODC), the United Nations International Organization for Migration (IOM), the International Rescue Committee, and the International Federation for Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies among other organizations. She provided humanitarian assistance to victims of wars and human rights violations in Africa, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East. Shereen has a deep passion for social justice, human rights, and substance misuse prevention. Shereen’s twin son and daughter, Payvand and Jahanara, attend elementary school in VA and are young advocates for the Right to Health.
