NASADAD Extends Exemplary Award Call for Applications to Sept. 4

During the past 25 years, the National Prevention Network of National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Abuse Directors has presented its Exemplary Award to more than 50 organizations that are making a difference in their community’s health through implementing evidence-based practices to prevent substance use disorders.

The National Exemplary Awards for Innovative Substance Abuse Prevention Programs, Practices, and Policies recognize quality substance abuse prevention efforts from around the country including effective and exemplary programs, practices, policies, and other initiatives. Examples of organizations invited to respond to the Call for Applications include, but are not limited to, those that have impacted specific changes in their communities – such as working with at risk populations (e.g., youth, workplace), promoting responsible retailing practices, smoke-free workplace ordinances, and other environmental approaches.

The deadline to respond to the Call for Applications for the 2015 awards has been extended to Sept. 4.
