Shane Britt is the Founder and Executive Director of The Scottsville Allen County Faith Coalition Inc. The coalition that began in 2006 over a cup of coffee with a few stakeholders, has become a household name in Scottsville and Allen County and is currently a Drug Free Communities Grantee, a graduate of the National Coalition Academy, and has been featured in many local, state and regional workshops over the years. In addition to the many state and local grants received, the coalition was also the recipient of the HRSA Rural Opioid Overdose Reversal Program in 2015 to combat the spike in prescription opiate use in the county.
He is a former Kentucky Champions consultant, a regular speaker at local trainings and workshops, and spent many years traveling across the Commonwealth to help other communities in coalition building.
Shane is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts and holds a Master of Divinity from Regent University. He is also a Special Deputy for the Allen County Sheriff’s Department and serves as their Chaplain. In addition, Shane is a member and former Chair of the Scottsville Allen County 911 Board, a current member of Scottsville Rotary, Chamber of Commerce and a member of Community Action of Southern Kentucky’s Emergency Food and Shelter Board. He is the former Chairman of the Lifeskills Inc. Board and currently serves as Senior Pastor of Pleasant Ridge Church.
