Final Webinar for New DFC Grantees Set for April 30

The third and final webinar in a series designed for new Drug Free Communities grantees that received Year 1, Year 6, or Mentor/Mentee funding in October 2014 has been set for April 30 from 2-3:30 p.m. EST.

The webinar “Ensuring an Effective Fiscal Agent/Coalition Relationship” will offer tips and tools to evaluate and enhance the relationship between community coalitions and the grantee agencies that provide legal, fiscal and reporting support to the  Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP) and the Office of National Drug Control Policy.

Topics to be covered include clearly defining the working relationship between the coalition and the fiscal agent such as writing roles and responsibilities for key stakeholders (fiscal agent, coalition staff, and executive committee members), oversight of the daily operations and management of the coalition, fiscal agent policies that will impact coalition work, and the financial and programmatic decision making processes between staff, coalition members and the fiscal agent.

Registration has closed. Information on how to join the webinar will be emailed no later than the day before the webinar. For more information on this or other webinars sponsored by CADCA, email institute@cadca.org.

While this webinar is particularly relevant to new DFC grantees, all DFC-funded coalitions are welcome to join. Also, non-DFC grantees that are interested in improving the relationship between the coalition and fiscal agency are welcome to participate.
