Andrea Avendaño-Jurado

Andrea is an Evaluation and Research Analyst at CADCA, where she provides evaluation support for the National Coalition Acadamy and various internal projects. Additionally, Andrea manages institute-sponsored performance reporting and supports CADCA’s Annual Survey of Coalitions, aimed at enhancing institute performance and optimizing coalition effectiveness.

Andrea earned her Master of Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology from Virginia’s first and only College of Public Health at Mason.  She also received her Bachelor of Science in Health, Phys. Ed., and Exercise Science with a concentration in Health Science and a focus in Health Promotion from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Andrea is passionate about identifying gaps within health initiatives and enhancing the scope of public health outreach. Before joining CADCA, she worked with a non-profit working to decrease mortality rates among individuals with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) post-incarceration. Outside of work, she plays softball for an intramural league in DC, naps (perhaps too much), travels in search of trying new cuisines, and volunteers as a dental assistant.
