CADCA Welcomes New Board Member

(Alexandria, Va.) April 4, 2022 – CADCA (Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America) recently appointed Anita Brikman, Senior Vice President, Communications & Public Affairs, Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA) and Executive Director, CHPA Educational Foundation, as the newest member of CADCA’s Board of Directors.

Anita Brikman joined CHPA in 2016 and is responsible for leading the association’s communications and public affairs functions, as well as leading the CHPA Educational Foundation. The CHPA Educational Foundation is an organization devoted to promoting medicine safety to consumers nationwide and has collaborated with CADCA on several projects, including promoting National Medicine Abuse Awareness Month and co-facilitating the Dose of Prevention challenge, which encourages coalitions to educate their communities on the dangers of over the counter (OTC) medicine misuse.  Prior to joining CHPA, Anita served as Senior Vice President, Communications and Outreach, at the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) where she led communications and marketing for the association and its affiliates, including the National Hospice Foundation.

CADCA’s Board of Directors consists of 26 leaders representing the wide span of CADCA’s membership, including state and local substance use prevention coalitions, state substance misuse and mental health services, addiction treatment programs and post-secondary training institutions, the military, the court system, sports teams, businesses and organizations serving racial and ethnic populations.
