Medications for Alcohol Use Disorder

Did you know that less than one in ten people with alcohol use disorder receive any form of treatment, even though it is the most common substance use challenge in America?

Alcohol use disorder is a chronic medical condition characterized by an individual’s inability to stop or control their drinking. The good news is that no matter how severe the problem, most people can benefit from treatment with behavioral therapies, medications, or both. CADCA is excited to release these share-ready resources—a brief video and an information sheet, made possible by the Alkermes Inspiration Grants® program—to support your work in educating your community about evidence-based tools in the fight for happier, healthier communities.
