Tobacco Prevention for Coalitions

Smoking is the leading cause of preventable disease and death in the United States. Smokers inhale over 7,000 chemical compounds and at least 70 of those are known to cause cancer. This online course is designed to teach participants how to disseminate counter-marketing communication strategies related to tobacco. Users will receive an overview of the problem, get to know public health communication strategies, learn how to increase tobacco prevention strategies, and consider how expand your reach through dissemination practices.

For those users who complete all modules, a certificate of completion for 5 contact hours will be generated at the end of the final module.

To access the course, go to and click Log In/Register in the upper right-hand corner. After logging into your account, click Available Courses on the horizontal toolbar. Select this course in the listing of courses to enroll.
