ONDCP Hosts Recovery Month Event

September is National Recovery Month. Join the virtual Recovery Month Celebration to help lift the stigma associated with substance use disorders.

The Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) will host an online-only event at the White House in celebration of National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month (Recovery Month) with a special focus on youth in recovery on Sept. 17 from 7-8 p.m. EST.

Coalitions are invited to host a viewing party in their own physical location of the event, which will be broadcast live on ONDCP hopes the event will be a significant occasion to celebrate and inspire millions of young persons in recovery, and raise awareness about critical resources and commitments needed to help other young people in their journeys.

The ONDCP is assembling a group of dynamic leaders in the youth recovery movement for an online panel to educate, inform, and inspire youth in recovery or not yet in recovery. During the event, they will feature tweets with questions for panelists in recovery. To submit your question for consideration on Twitter, tweet at @Botticelli44 using the hashtag #RecoveryatWH at any time prior to or during the event.

There are more than 600 National Recovery Month events around the country, and you can find all of them here:
