CADCA’s National Coalition Institute is excited to announce a new webinar series on how coalitions can use data to support their sustainability efforts. This webinar series will provide practical action steps and resources to help coalitions with sustainability planning, increasing the likelihood that your coalition and its mission will have staying power at the local level.
The goal of this series to help local leaders understand the important link between data and sustainability to maintain the vitality in its internal structure, processes and strategies. Each webinar in the series will cover one or more of the following four things that coalitions need to sustain: 1.) strong volunteer and membership base; 2.) credible process; 3.) relevance to current community concerns, and 4.) financial and other resources required to do the work.
The first webinar in the series titled “Using Data for Sustainability: Focusing on a Strong Membership Base” is scheduled for March 18 from 3-4 p.m. EST. Topics to be covered during this session are: using data as a recruitment tool; using data to help coalition members understand and communicate their role in the coalition’s success; and using data as real-time benchmarks for celebration. Presenters will include Dr. Bill Geary, Deputy Director of CADCA’s Evaluation and Research department, in collaboration with coalition leaders who have successfully mastered these sustainability techniques.
The webinar series is being organized by the Institute’s Evaluation and Research team. Dr. Bill Geary, Deputy Director of Evaluation and Research, noted “We are very excited by this opportunity to combine for the first time, content from our existing sustainability curriculum and our existing evaluation curriculum with coalition experience.”
