Five Moms Campaign Seeks Passionate Coalition Leader to Help Prevent Medicine Abuse!

Are you a passionate mother and substance abuse prevention leader? Do you want to help raise awareness about the dangers of medicine abuse? Then, you could be the next member of the Five Moms Campaign!

The Five Moms Campaign, which is led by the Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA), is a national effort that aims to raise awareness about teen cough medicine/DXM abuse and offer peer-to-peer guidance on how to prevent it. Following the success of the Five Moms campaign, CHPA created StopMedicineAbuse.org to serve as the online home for Five Moms and provide valuable resources for parents and their communities. Together, these initiatives have reached millions of parents to date.

Five Moms is currently searching for a passionate mom who is also a coalition leader to join the campaign. The mom has to be comfortable being a face for the campaign and participating in media focused activities. Activities include authoring blog posts (drafted initially by the CHPA team and review by the mom,) serving as a spokesperson for media requests, speaking at events and participating in quarterly check-in calls with other moms.

If you’re interested in this opportunity, send an email to Jenni Terry at jterry@chpa.org.
