Fabrizia Barela is CADCA’s International Senior Manager. Her responsibilities include working with international trainers and coordinators to implement training programs and coalition building initiatives in select countries within Latin America, including Costa Rica, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Argentina, Brazil and others. In this capacity, Ms. Barela is accountable for the development of new coalitions, while strengthening existing coalitions in conjunction with Foreign Government officials, Non-Government Organizations, U.S. Embassy personnel and community coalition leaders. Her experience working with these organizations has given her the opportunity to work with public health professionals and institutions in investigating health trends, while also analyzing public health information throughout Latin America. She is passionate about assisting the ongoing need and growth the public health infrastructure on a local and international level. Fabrizia is fluent in Spanish and English.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Barela was the International Program Associate at CADCA. At that time, her duties included assisting the Vice President of International with the development and dissemination of departmental publications, training materials, as well as development and coordination of presentations. She supported exhibits at the following events: International Society for Substance Use Prevention and Treatment Professionals, AADAC Philippines National Annual Coalition Conference, United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs, Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission (CICAD/OAS) and others. Prior to joining CADCA, Ms. Barela severed international companies such as ICF International and Millicon International Services.
