CADCA Unveils New Brand Identity Video

Prevention work doesn’t often translate easily into words, especially to people seeing it from the outside. It’s meetings in school cafeterias after hours, community data translated into action plans, and neighbors organizing around issues that are deeply personal.

CADCA’s new brand identity video captures the scope of the prevention field in a way words often can’t. It’s two and a half minutes spanning the actual work: community members in overdose awareness shirts comforting each other at a vigil, coalitions holding oversized grant checks paid from an opioid settlement fund, and a trainer in a conference room with her hands full of energy and a room full of people paying attention.

What makes the coalition model work isn’t any single program or policy. It’s the people who show up consistently in rooms like these, doing the unglamorous work of building trust and changing conditions in their communities. For more than 30 years, CADCA has trained and supported those people. This video is the first time we feel like we’ve shown it.

If you’re part of this network, you’ll see yourself reflected in these faces of prevention. If you’re new to CADCA or the prevention field, this is the best place to start. And if there’s one thing this video makes clear, it’s that prevention is built by people who keep showing up.
