Each year, CADCA offers coalitions the chance to receive national recognition for their contributions to community-level substance abuse reduction outcomes. CADCA’s National Coalition Institute, GOT OUTCOMES! Coalition of Excellence Awards celebrate coalitions that have implemented a data-driven, comprehensive, and effective approach to address their local substance abuse issues. Applications are due on Friday, August 5, 2016.
By applying for this award, your coalition will practice making a convincing case about its positive contributions to the community. Coalitions are asked to develop a PowerPoint presentation telling a story of how their community assessment contributed to a more holistic understanding of a specific substance abuse problem and informed their approach toward developing effective solutions. There is a strong emphasis on the use of data and a sound logic modeling process; this approach will result in a useful tool that your coalition can use for communicating your outcomes to potential funders and partners. So what are you waiting for? Celebrate the successful work of your community and coalition and get recognized.
There are some changes to the application this year:
- All coalition applicants will highlight their successes in only one substance abuse area.
- CADCA will officially recognize all semifinalists in this two-phase application process.
- Both semifinalists and winners will receive a letter signed by CADCA’s Chairman and CEO, Arthur T. Dean, and CADCA’s National Coalition Institute Director, Kareemah Abdullah.
- Both semifinalists and winners will be recognized in CADCA’s Коалиции онлайн Weekly Newsletter.
There are many additional benefits for the winners, including free registration and travel to CADCA’s 2017 National Leadership Forum and participation in workshops and webinars, highlighting your coalition’s successes within the substance abuse prevention field.
