Dave earned a BS in Accounting from Southeastern University in 2005 and began his accounting career at The American Indian Higher Education Consortium in Alexandria in 2004. In 2006 he joined a CPA firm before starting a small business accounting LLC in 2012. In 2013 he was awarded a contract as Controller of Port City Brewing Company, which he held for over 10 years. When the contract ended in 2025, he transitioned to the position of Director of Finance for a farm winery in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. He also currently has a contract for the accounting of the largest bingo operation in Northern Virginia, a charitable gaming non-profit which donated over $400,000 to various charities in 2026.

When he’s not working, Dave enjoys boating when it’s warm, skiing when it’s cold and traveling with his wife of 30 years and their 3 adult children.
