QUOI: CADCA (Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America) celebrates its 19th annual Drug-Free Kids Campaign Awards Dinner by bringing together business, federal, congressional and community leaders from across the country who support CADCA’s mission of creating safe, healthy and drug-free communities. Jim Frates, CFO & Executive Sponsor, Addiction Program, Alkermes, Inc. will receive the Humanitarian of the Year Award for the company’s creative contributions to America and its drug free community work. Mark Stadler, CEO, BAV will receive CADCA’s Champion for Drug-Free Kids providing resources and support to help youth alongside CADCA for the past 12 years.
The Honorable Maggie Hassan (D-NH) will also address the 450 expected attendees. Youth leaders trained by CADCA’s Youth Leadership team, Jarlath Riley and Andrea Marquez, will speak about youth empowerment and their prevention work in their communities. Leon Harris, News4 anchor with NBC Washington, will serve as Master of Ceremonies.
