2 000 dirigeants communautaires se réunissent à l'institut de formation de mi-année du CADCA pour apprendre les stratégies de prévention visant à faire face à la crise de la drogue

QUOI:                 CADCA (Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America) is holding its 16e L'Institut annuel de formation de mi-année réunira environ 2 000 spécialistes de la prévention et du traitement de la toxicomanie du monde entier pour discuter des solutions aux défis de santé publique les plus urgents qui menacent les communautés. Conférenciers en vedette du Bureau de la politique nationale de contrôle des drogues (ONDCP), Administration de lutte contre la drogue (DEA) et le Administration des services de toxicomanie et de santé mentale (SAMHSA) will share their strategic priorities. Plus, more than 100 training sessions will explore the latest science and evidence-based prevention strategies related to the opioid epidemic, marijuana, tobacco, and more. Mid-Year also welcomes more than 200 youth who will take part in CADCA’s youth-led, adult-guided civic engagement training, CADCA’s Youth Leadership training, where they’ll learn how to become drug prevention advocates and powerful community leaders.

  • Monday, July 24 The Opening Plenary and Breakfast will feature several renowned experts:

    • Chuck Rosenberg, Acting Administrator, DEA, will keynote the plenary and speak to the DEA’s current and future strategic plans and how community coalitions are key to their success;

    • Carlos Martinez, CADCA Youth Trainer, will share how and why communities must collaborate with youth to make a positive social impact.
       
  • Wednesday, July 26 – ONDCP Acting Director Richard Baum will keynote the ONDCP Town Hall Meeting and discuss his organization’s upcoming key initiatives.
