Phoenix is a public policy professional with a background in public health policy, legislative advocacy, and issue monitoring. He joined the CADCA team in October of 2022 as a Public Policy Associate.
Prior to serving at CADCA, Phoenix worked adjacent to public health policy in both chambers of Congress. He served as a member of Senator Manchin’s legislative team in 2019. He joined the Infectious Diseases Society’s public policy team as a legislative assistant in 2021 and worked to advocate for public health funding in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic.
He studied Politics and Government at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio where he graduated with cum laude distinction.
In his spare time, Phoenix enjoys cycling and spending time with his dog, Randy. He’s ecstatic to join CADCA and assist communities across the country in combating the opioid epidemic.
