The Strategic Prevention Framework/Partnership for Success Grant Program

The Strategic Prevention Framework/Partnership for Success (SPF/PFS) grant program provides funding for comprehensive state and community-based substance use prevention strategies and programming based on state epidemiologic data to determine both what substance use issues ae most prevalent as well as where to target funding, so that areas of highest need receive resources. The program uses the Strategic Prevention Framework model as the basis for effective prevention planning, coordination and implementation of primary prevention resources in states and substate communities and has been effective in reducing underage drinking, illicit drug use, prescription drug misuse and vaping among 12-to-20-year-olds in funded states and communities.

The SPF/PFS program is a very cost-effective way to stop the multiple drug crises facing our nation. Every dollar invested in substance use prevention efforts saves between $2 and $20 in societal costs.
