The Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Support Program has released Notices of Funding Opportunity (NOFOs), with applications due February 12. Below is a quick breakdown of what’s currently available and what to expect next to help coalitions determine which NOFO applies to them.
This is for coalitions applying for initial DFC funding under the recompete cycle.
This is only for:
- Coalitions that applied last year for Years 6-10 and are continuing in the same funding cycle, OR
- Coalitions that experienced a lapse in DFC funding and are eligible to reapply under competing continuation criteria
This NOFO does not apply to coalitions currently in Year 5 of their grant period. Coalitions funded through Year 5 (with funding through September) should not apply under the currently open Year 6 NOFO. Instead, these coalitions will apply through the next Year 6-10 NOFO, which is expected to be published in February and due in April.
