As Sue Thau explains in the video, membership is essential to CADCA’s advocacy work. Solely supported by CADCA membership, Sue Thau and her advocacy team secure funding for federal prevention programs such as the Drug-Free Communities (DFC) and Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA) grants. CADCA also works with Congress to advance important legislation, including recent success in closing the hemp loophole.

General Price always says, “membership has its privileges.” CADCA members receive benefits that support their work and connect them with the broader prevention community, including:

• Each person on your coalition’s roster receives $200 off registration for the National Leadership Forum and Mid-Year Training Institute
• Access to CADCA’s webinars and publications.
• Access to the CADCA Community, CADCA’s online networking site with over 10,000 conversations and nearly 1,000 resource items. Exchange ideas and best practices with coalition leaders, prevention experts, and peers from across the nation.

We’ve also rolled out new features to make the CADCA Community more useful for members:

• CADCA Community Prevention Glossary is a searchable glossary of prevention terms and abbreviations. It’s perfect for those new to prevention. Members can search the glossary for prevention terms and abbreviations and make suggestions on terms that need to be defined.
• CADCA Community Blog is a new way for partners, members, and the prevention community to share ideas and resources.
• And for our Partner Members, we have a new way to reach coalitions. The CADCA Community Takeover Sponsorship allows our partners to reach members through a 1 week sponsorship that puts your brand at the center of the CADCA Community with high visibility ads, sponsored content, and member engagement. Learn more here.

Remember, you can join or renew your membership at cadca.org/membership. You can always reach out to Amy Pica at 703-706-0560 x228 or apica@cadca.org with any questions.

And as always, thank you for everything that you do as a CADCA Member.
