This session will provide informational and practical solutions for recruiting, engaging, and retaining youth in Coalition Work. This session will be presented using the most current data, best practices, and lessons learned from starting, running, and maintaining a strong youth prevention club the past six years. Topics covered will include getting youth to the table, what to do with them once you get them there, and how to keep them there. This session will be presented from multiple perspectives. Presenters include adult youth advisors, parents, and youth. This session will focus on how youth can make effective change in their communities. New to experienced youth advisors and anyone that works with youth will benefit from attending this session.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

1. Effectively recruit, engage and maintain their youth sector

2. Understand the importance of including youth in their Coalition Work

3. Use partnerships in their communities to maximize youth recruitment, engagement, and retention
