Youth are a powerful asset to communities and can be pivotal to impacting coalition outcomes when provided the opportunity for meaningful involvement. Youth, however, need adults to create the space and environment that supports creativity and contribution to community problem solving. This workshop is designed to provide tools, strategies and evidence based approaches for engaging youth and strengthening youth-adult partnerships for prevention efforts.

At the end of the training session, the participants will be able to: 

1. Prepare the coalition for engaging youth in community problem solving
2. Utilize effective strategies for youth recruitment and meaningful engagement in community change efforts
3. Describe elements of evidence based youth development
