Faced with the sudden and unexpected departure of the executive director, and the impending takeover of your coalition, what do you do? This session offers the proven formula to take your coalition from impending collapse to rated as number one in the state in a three-year timeframe. Building an indestructible foundation using the Strategic Prevention Framework model, identifying experienced and reliable leadership, selecting staff for the best fit and creating a coalition that works in unison will raise the bar and provide the structure for successful sustainability and community accolades.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
1) Use the Strategic Prevention Framework model as a guide to build and maintain a strong and vibrant coalition that will adapt and endure change and adversity.
2) Learn the process to attract and retain coalition members that actively participate and consistently say “yes” to short-term and long-term committee work and community projects increasing community impact and in-kind support.
3) Identify leadership that offers experience, encouragement and support to continuously improve coalition dynamics, promote a continuum of care framework, create population-level changes and ensure sustainability.
