We Hear You! Using Youth Voice to Inform Coalition Work

Monday, July 15th
2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
Room:
Grapevine A
Description:

Today’s youth have a lot to say. By learning to value their input and truly hear their thoughts, we can gain relevant insight into our work in community-based coalitions. Need help engaging the youth voices around you? Need ideas to utilize the voices of youth you already have? Need advice on helping other adults appreciate the value of youth voice? Let’s learn and grow together!

At the end of the training session, the participants will be able to:

1. Recognize the value of the youth voice
2. Define youth led prevention and outcomes
3. Engage youth in a community based process
4. Demonstrate how to leverage youth voice to advance adult coalition strategies and how adult coalitions can support youth coalition strategies.
