Think Globally, Act Locally

Thursday, 02/07/2019
2:45 PM
4:00 PM
Chesapeake 7-9

Description

The Cecil County Drug Free Communities Coalition has "partnered" with other coalitions within Cecil County, Maryland in-order to "collaborate" on mutual interests- working towards a drug-free Cecil. Yes, partners can even be other coalitions! It is also important to "think globally, but act locally" in order to give your coalition every opportunity to build sustainability and develop maximum impact. You can partner and collaborate on the federal, state and local levels. So. "buckle up" and enjoy the Cecil County experience of multi-coalition work while avoiding duplication of efforts!

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, participants will be able to learn the difference between partnership and collaboration, the importance of knowing your partner's strategic plan for effective collaboration, and the opportunities in involving federal, state, and local stakeholders in your coalition efforts as well as developing a core ""sweet spot"" within the coalition to grow your partnerships.
