Sophia Elias works at CADCA as the Business Development and Project Manager. Her primary role is to support the Business Development team to grow and manage CADCA’s partner pipeline including corporations, foundations, and individuals. She is currently pursuing her Certified Fundraising Executive Certification (CFRE) and participates in the local Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP DC) Chapter. With over seven years of fundraising experience, Sophia has worked in a diversity of nonprofits, from advocacy and social justice to the arts in varying fundraising, campaign management and project management roles. She also brings to CADCA overseas experience working in a Business Development capacity for a multinational biotech company. Prior to working in nonprofit, she taught English as a Second Language in US public schools and various international colleges abroad. Sophia has two B.A.’s from Ohio University in Latin American Studies and Spanish as well as an M.A. in TESOL from Ohio Dominican University.
