Russell Spurlin (He/Him) is the Manager of Youth Leadership for Upstream Kansas at CADCA. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in School Counseling.

Before joining CADCA, Russell worked with Upward Bound Wichita Prep, a college readiness program focused on supporting high school students in the Wichita community. Beyond his work in education, Russell has been deeply involved in creating and advising youth coalitions, both as a mentor and a youth member. In 2021, he was honored as the Youth Leader of the Year for Kansas. Russell is excited about empowering the youth of Kansas through the Upstream Kansas program.

In his free time, Russell enjoys exploring new walking trails, trying out different food spots, and spending quality time with his niece and sisters.
