Robert Alvarez

Youth Leadership Manager

Robert Alvarez is the Youth Leadership Manager for CADCA. In this role he is responsible for the management and strategic direction of CADCA's Youth Leadership. In this capacity he seeks to grow the Youth Leadership program to continually engage, inform, inspire and empower as many youth as possible to be change makers in their communities and create thriving, drug-free environments.

Prior to arriving at CADCA Robert amassed 14 years of experience working with youth, nationally and internationally, in youth leadership, gang diversion, community-based mental health, education, and community development. During the course of his career Robert served in the US Peace Corps in El Salvador as a Youth & Community Development Coordinator and is an alumni of the Fulbright Public Policy Fellowship where he served as a Special Advisor to the Ministry of Education in Guatemala.

Robert is a native of Southern California, speaks Spanish and Portuguese, and possesses a M.P.A. and M.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of Arizona as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northern Arizona University.
