Robert Alvarez

Deputy Director of Training Operations

Robert Alvarez is the Deputy Director of Training Operations for CADCA. In this role he is responsible for oversight of adult custom training and fee for service offerings as well as the strategic direction of CADCA's Youth Leadership Initiative, and the National Community Outreach Engagement Strategy in partnership with the DEA. In this capacity he seeks to grow CADCA’s training offerings to provide communities with the tools they need to create thriving, healthy, and drug-free environments.

Prior to arriving at CADCA Robert amassed 14 years of experience working with youth, nationally and internationally, in youth leadership, gang diversion, community-based mental health, education, and community development. During the course of his career Robert served in the US Peace Corps in El Salvador as a Youth & Community Development Coordinator and is an alumni of the Fulbright Public Policy Fellowship where he served as a Special Advisor to the Ministry of Education in Guatemala.

Robert is a native of Southern California, speaks Spanish and Portuguese, and possesses a M.P.A. and M.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of Arizona as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northern Arizona University.
