Sustainability and Innovation: Integrating SBIRT services
The ACCESS Project (America's Community Coalitions Expanding SBIRT Services) is the first phase in CADCA's work to expand the use of SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment) services to a larger number of coalitions nationwide. For the past two years, CADCA has been working with seven pilot sites to improve the integration of SBIRT services, including building new partnerships with health care agencies and using the CADCA coalition model and the Strategic Prevention Framework. Recent successes have included coalition partnerships to establish school-based health centers and working with existing SBIRT service projects within prevention communities.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to recognize how SBIRT services can help with their sustainability and life beyond their current funding, be knowledgable about coalition-specific partnerships with health, including federally qualified health centers and establishing school-based health centers, and understand what SBIRT can do for them in their prevention-related work.
