Description

If your organization has ever had Drug Free Communities funding or funding where you have to compete for continuation funds, then you know there is always a fear of not being awarded funding and having to take a “gap” year. In this session, the Steuben Prevention Coalition will share the good, the bad and the ugly of having a gap year, and how their coalition was able to grow and continue the work that needed to be done in their community during their gap year.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

1) Tell your coalition story and address current community needs

2) Identify and communicate community losses without funding

3) Build relationships and approach outside funders big and small
