SADD's Dose of Reality

Tuesday, 02/05/2019
1:45 PM
3:00 PM
National Harbor 2-3

Description

The reality of today’s youth is that we have to think about more than just alcohol, cigarettes and marijuana! There are prescription drugs in our homes that are leading our youth towards destructive decisions. The goal of this presentation is to increase youth in your DFC so that we can stop this reality. This session will be a blueprint on how to recruit, sustain, and provide leadership opportunities that positively impact your community along with your organization. Whether your youth sector is in the school or in an outside organization, recruiting is essential. We will provide simple ideas that will increase youth partnership, funding along with ways to use social media to encourage other sectors to get involved. Community event opportunities will be shared to help create an environment for youth to be leaders and make positive decisions so that our ultimate goal to change realities in our community will occur.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, participants will be able to increase youth participation, have more funding ideas to sustain your organization and provide youth leadership opportunites in their communities.
