May 5, 3:00 - 4:15 p.m.

You know your community has a major prescription drug abuse/misuse problem but how do you address the problem? During CADCA’s upcoming webinar, “Crafting Effective Rx Drug Abuse Prevention Strategies,” you’ll learn how to begin planning and implementing effective strategies to prevent and reduce prescription drug abuse. Using CADCA’s community problem-solving model as the basis, CADCA’s expert trainers will walk participants through the process of developing a logic model and theory of change so you can identify the root causes of your local Rx drug abuse problem and think strategically about solutions.  We’ll also share best practices from a coalition in West Virginia that implemented a comprehensive approach to successfully reduce youth Rx drug abuse. In addition, you’ll learn how your coalition can utilize SAMHSA’s National Prevention Week observance to address prescription drug abuse.  Participants will walk away with a good understanding about how to design Rx drug abuse interventions and information on free tools to help guide their efforts.  This is the third webinar in CADCA’s Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention Series.

  • Carlton Hall, Deputy Director, Training & Technical Assistance, CADCA National Coalition Institute
