CADCA also emphasized the importance of maintaining the UN drug conventions, which are scheduled for review in 2016 at a special session on drugs of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;CADCA is honored to be joining such a distinct group of leaders at this important event. Throughout the week, we have been stressing the importance of a community-based approach to preventing and reducing illicit drug use. We have also encouraged member countries to uphold the UN drug conventions as they currently stand,&#8221; said Gen. Arthur T. Dean, CADCA Chairman and CEO. \u201cThe CND is also an opportunity for the CADCA team to meet face-to-face with leaders from many of the countries where we are training and supporting coalition development.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>CADCA presented at two important side events \u2013 the U.S.-sponsored \u201cInnovations in Youth Drug Prevention\u201d and in \u201cA Public Health Approach to Drug Policy\u201d sponsored by Europe against Drugs.
