CDC analyzed data from the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System for the years 2001-2010 and 2011\u20132013 to provide updated state-specific trends in quit attempts among adult smokers. The article outlines the factors that might contribute to variations in quit attempts and how this data can help states develop appropriate health promotion programs.\u00a0Read the MMWR Article\u00a0here. CDC analyzed data from the 1997\u20132013 national Youth Risk Behavior Surveys among U.S. non-Hispanic white, non-Hispanic black, and Hispanic students\u00a0in grades 9\u201312 to examine trends in the prevalence of current 1) exclusive cigarette or cigar use, 2) exclusive marijuana use, and 3) any use of the three products.
