These are\u00a0not merely\u00a0statistics; they are\u00a0kids in\u00a0our schools,\u00a0our communities, and\u00a0our families. Because access is often so easy, misuse can lead to more serious substance use down the line.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559738&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:279}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Every year, CADCA partners with the Consumer Healthcare Products Association\u2019s (CHPA) Stop Medicine Abuse campaign to put on the\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.doseofpreventionchallenge.org\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u0414\u043e\u0437\u0430 \u043f\u0440\u043e\u0444\u0438\u043b\u0430\u043a\u0442\u0438\u043a\u0438<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, inviting coalitions to educate their communities about the dangers of prescription drug misuse and OTC cough medicine abuse.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The\u00a0Dose of Prevention Challenge encourages coalitions across the country to\u00a0take action\u00a0and address this issue\u00a0by hosting town halls,\u00a0launching\u00a0educational awareness campaigns,\u00a0partnering with schools,\u00a0and\u00a0finding\u00a0creative ways to\u00a0start important conversations that keep community members informed.\u00a0By engaging parents, educators, youth, and other key members, these events help reshape community norms around safe medication use.\u00a0The more events a coalition hosts, the more chances they\u00a0have to\u00a0be recognized for their hard work.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Last year\u2019s winner, the\u00a0Orange County Drug Free Coalition,\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8juMMACwfaU\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">reached more than 60,000 people<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0with messages about prescription drug and over-the-counter cough medicine misuse through school partnerships, youth-led events, and community outreach.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8juMMACwfaU?si=SfRbyV8-T98gAtzy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Recognition\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0stop there.\u00a0CADCA also hosts the annual\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cadca.org\/ru\/dfkcampaign-2025\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u0423\u0436\u0438\u043d \u0432 \u0447\u0435\u0441\u0442\u044c \u043a\u0430\u043c\u043f\u0430\u043d\u0438\u0438 \u00ab\u0414\u0435\u0442\u0438 \u0431\u0435\u0437 \u043d\u0430\u0440\u043a\u043e\u0442\u0438\u043a\u043e\u0432\u00bb<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, which celebrates organizations and individuals making a difference in the prevention field.
