Four of these coalitions are currently enrolled in the Academy and are preparing to apply when the next DFC funding opportunity opens.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">For context, ARORP is an initiative led by the Association of Arkansas Counties and the Arkansas Municipal League. Their mission reflects what coalitions across the globe are striving to\u00a0accomplish:\u00a0address\u00a0the opioid epidemic\u00a0using evidence-based strategies across the continuum of care and\u00a0assist\u00a0people suffering from\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">substance-misuse disorder. Their focus is on prevention, early intervention,\u00a0recovery support, and even on\u00a0uplifting families who have experienced loss.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">That\u2019s\u00a0where the Opioid Coalition Academy comes in, which is designed to give coalitions the structure, tools, and confidence they need to be successful. Over the course of three weeks of in-person training, combined with ongoing reinforcement sessions, coalition leaders learn how to apply SAMHSA\u2019s Strategic Prevention Framework and leave with concrete products: community assessments, logic models, strategic and sustainability plans, and more. Traditionally, technical\u00a0assistance\u00a0has been reactive, with coalitions reaching out when they hit a roadblock. With Enhanced TA,\u00a0we\u2019re\u00a0flipping the model. Each coalition is paired with a technical\u00a0assistance\u00a0provider right away, who works alongside them to\u00a0anticipate\u00a0challenges, set clear goals, and build a customized plan. This consists of monthly one-on-one sessions, group check-ins, and ongoing access to support, all of which make the process proactive and consistent. As a result, coalitions feel better supported and stay on track with their goals to implement strategies that improve community health outcomes.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The launch at Mid-Year\u00a0represents\u00a0a better way of doing prevention work, one where coalitions\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0feel like\u00a0they\u2019re\u00a0figuring it out alone, but instead have steady, personalized guidance to move their goals forward.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At this year\u2019s Mid-Year Training Institute, CADCA introduced a new offering: Enhanced Technical Assistance (TA) for 11 coalitions in Arkansas.
