Description: 

An important role of coalition coordinators is to effectively communicate the work of the coalition, to inspire others to get involved in the work, and to build credibility in the community. This session is designed to provide coalition coordinators and volunteers with a safe environment to engage in discussion around how to learn to speak in public with confidence, and how to find a way of presenting that will work for you. Participants will be guided through the process of finding your own voice, to take public speaking to the next level

At the end of the training session, the participants will be able to: 

1. Understand why public speaking is important
2. Understand the importance of public speaking in building capacity of your coalition
3. Learn tips for controlling anxiety and fear
4. Identify ways of presenting that will work for you
5. Learn how to take questions and give feedback from audiences to make presentations more dynamic
