Results of a study by researchers at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mailman.columbia.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Columbia University\u2019s Mailman School of Public Health\u00a0<\/a>and the City University of New York appear online in the journal\u00a0<em>Drug and Alcohol Dependence.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur results suggest that cannabis use appears to be associated with an increased vulnerability to developing an alcohol use disorder, even among those without any history of this,\u201d said\u00a0Renee Goodwin, PhD,\u00a0associate professor of\u00a0Epidemiology\u00a0at the Mailman School of Public Health, in a news release. \u201cMarijuana use also appears to increase the likelihood that an existing alcohol use disorder will continue over
