The following daily themes will be promoted in 2016:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday, March 21 \u2013 Children Act Fast \u2026 So Do Poisons<\/li>\n<li>Tuesday, March 22 \u2013 Poison Centers: Saving You Time and Money<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday, March 23 \u2013 Poisonings Span a Lifetime<\/li>\n<li>Thursday, March 24 \u2013 Home Safe Home<\/li>\n<li>Friday, March 25 \u2013 Medicine Safety<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Download the American Association of Poison Control Centers&#8217;\u00a0National Poison Prevention Week 2016 Outreach Toolkit. \u00a0The toolkit contains links to infographics, press release and email templates, and much more!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Congratulations to the winners of the 2016\u00a0National Poison Prevention Week Poster Contest, sponsored by the\u00a0National Poison Prevention Week Council! \u00a0In honor of National Poison Prevention Week, the Council conducts a nationwide poster contest for kids in Kindergarten through 8th grade to engage the community in helping to ensure the safety of children and adults. 2017 contest entries are due\u00a0May 15th, 2016. Read the contest rules. \u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/the-press-office\/2015\/03\/13\/presidential-proclamation-national-poison-prevention-week-2015\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2015 Presidential Proclamation from WhiteHouse.gov<\/a><br \/>\n\t\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.poisonhelp.hrsa.gov\/what-can-you-do\/national-poison-prevention-week\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HRSA&#8217;s\u00a0National Poison Prevention Week Planner<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Coalitions are the perfect vehicle to deliver medicine safety messages to young people in the community. To help in that effort, CADCA has disseminated to its members the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scholastic.com\/otcmedsafety\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OTC Medicine Safety<\/a> curriculum, developed by Scholastic and the AAPCC in partnership with McNeil Consumer Healthcare. The curriculum, aimed at 5th and 6th graders, raises awareness about the safe use of OTC medicines and provides resources to better equip coalition leaders, educators, school nurses and parents with
