A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words! Using Infographics in Coalition Work
Coalitions must use as many ways as possible to disseminate their data. Perhaps more importantly, coalitions must use appropriate ways to disseminate data to different target audiences. In this session, the Orleans Drug-Free Communities Coalition (Albion, NY) will demonstrate how they have used infographics to educate and inform their community in situations where traditional data tables and graphs are inappropriate and/or potentially ineffective. Join Program Director, Patricia Crowley and Program Evaluator, Dr. Daniel Webb as they introduce you to the basics of infographics, discuss types of infographics and situations in which to use them, and show you how to create your own infographic using one popular online service.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to understand what an infographic is, understand target audiences and situations in which to use infographics and create their own visualization using Venngage, one popular online service.
