Thursday, 02/07/2019
10:45 AM
12:00 PM
Potomac Ballroom C

Description

E-cigarette use has grown exponentially in the last five years, and more young people now use e-cigarettes rather than conventional cigarettes. This session will describe public health risks posed by e-cigarettes, explain the current regulatory landscape for these products, highlight potential options to regulate them, and explain the important role coalitions can play in policy change.

*This will be a cross-training with both adult and youth participants.*

Learning Objectives

At the end of the training session, participants will be able to understand public health problems posed by e-cigarettes, learn how e-cigarettes are currently regulated, and evaluate ways e-cigarettes could potentially be regulated.
