The Juice is Worth the Squeeze: DEA 360 and Coalition Collaboration

Tuesday, February 4, 2020
3:30 PM
4:45 PM
Chesapeake G-I

How do we spread prevention efforts that connect nearly 4000 square miles? How do you keep going even in the face of lack of participation/interest? Tenacity and building consensus! The juice is really worth the squeeze. This presentation will include strong audio/visual component on the planning and implementation of Tampa DEA 360 activities in the Tampa Bay area. Strong partnerships are truly what drives coalition work and ultimately creates community change. By bringing partners to the table that are vital to the community and fully engaging them in the planning and the work of the coalition, you can quickly see the community change you want to see. Working across sectors makes our community efforts stronger, more effective and sustainable.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

1) Identify three key steps in strategic event planning.

2) Recognize SPF components used for successful youth summits.
