CADCA

In 2018, CADCA began exploring focal areas to launch the Training of Communities within Asuncion state with the guidance of the National Anti-Drug Secretariat (SENAD), the antinarcotics unit of the National Police and the Metropolitan University of Asuncion. Thanks to the support of the local governments and their mayors, Villetas, Fernando de la Mora and Luque were selected to begin the initiative in the spring of 2019. Training one was held in May 2019 with over 100 participants from the three communities. A collaborative agreement was signed between CADCA and the mayor of Fernando de la Mora to formalize the local government’s support of the community coalition process. Another agreement was signed with the National Police antinarcotics unit, which is providing a liaison to support the Villetas community coalition.
