Haiti

CADCA initiated work in Haiti in 2013 with the Haitian Commission National de la Lutte Contre la Drogue (CONALD), Haiti’s national anti-drug agency. With the support of CONALD, the community of Carrefour was selected as the site for community coalition development. CONALD and CADCA also selected the local NGO Caritas to serve as the local coordinator for assistance with logistics and communication with community leaders. 

The Carrefour coalition was formed and is legally registered as an NGO in Haiti. Due to the successful pilot of the Carrefour coalition, CADCA began working with CONALD to expand efforts to three additional communities in Port-au-Prince: Petionville, Tabarre and Delmas. However, due to civil unrest and lack of resources, the expansion never occurred and efforts in Haiti concluded in 2015.
