Description

Are you looking for ways to get people to the table, truly engage them and keep them at the table? If you answered yes to that question, this session is for you. This session will look at innovative ways to bring all sectors to the table and keep them there. From the faith-based sector to the healthcare sector to the business sector, we will take a look at the sectors coalitions often struggle to get involved in prevention work. Oftentimes coalitions don’t know where to start or who to initially connect with within a specific sector. During this session, we will share real life examples of how we have been successful in bringing those hard to reach sectors to the table and strategies that we have implemented to keep the sectors engaged long-term.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

1) Identify specific community members/sector representatives within their community that they can reach out to

2) Build engagement with community members from all sectors

3) Have invigorating ideas of how to keep those current members at the table and engaged
