Ending the Stigma, Saving Lives: Faith and Community Based Organizations Collaborate to Support Opioid Prevention Strategies

Participants will learn how faith and community-based organizations work together with the DC Prevention Centers to implement environmental strategies that prevent initial useof opioids and stimulants and secondary prevention strategies that reduce the risk of overdose and negative outcomes of current opioid users to end the stigma and save lives.

At the end of this session participants will be able to:

1. Learn effective community engagement strategies that build and support alliances.
2. Understand why diversity is key to addressing use disorders: everyone has a role, and everyone matters
