Description

This presentation addresses the problem of impaired driving, and identifies practical policy solutions to address it. This session also describes the roles of prevention and treatment to reduce all types of drug-impaired driving.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

1) Describe the prevalence and seriousness of drug-impaired driving.

2) Identify crucial actions needed to reduce impared driving and how to articulate efforts to: A) prevent, B) identify and reduce drug-impaired driving enhance and C) cancel out ulterior efforts related to alcohol-impaired driving.

3) Show the futility of the search for a blood level for marijuana and other drugs (equivalent to the widely-used BAC 0.08 for alcohol).

4) Demonstrate how to succeed in reducing drugged driving without a clear blood intoxication level identified.
