Description

The Genesee County Prevention Coalition, located in Flint, MI, created a toolkit with current drug trends and an accompanying guide to prevention education and treatment resources in their community. They additionally gathered the items in their toolkit to create a display that can be used in interactive presentations and vendor tables, which can be assembled to create a teen bedroom scene. This toolkit has been used to raise awareness and to empower parents to identify signs of youth substance use in their home and to help build resilience in their youth. Additionally, this toolkit, resource guide and display have been used to help the coalition to connect with all sectors of the community.
